Fazer Denmark, a challenger in the Danish confectionery category, will partner with Analyse² to improve the effectiveness and profitability of their promotions. We need to be able to promise and deliver certain volumes to our retailers for the campaigns. Having a reliable forecast of expected outcomes in the changing market for our fixed and varying assortment is crucial for building good customer relations and gives us a competitive edge.

Grocery retail has faced many megatrends during recent years, that have impacted the value chain from manufacturing to shopper behaviour. Being able to react quickly to market changes is vital in securing margins as well as maintaining good customer relations.

Careful consideration and a thorough business test preceded the decision to implement A² Trade Promotion. During the test period, A² Trade Promotion AI was taught with Fazer data from the Salling Group promotions. Analyse² consultants helped the Fazer team to identify where to allocate more money and where to cut down on investments. Joint promotion planning sessions were held to simulate and optimize future promotions.

The next step in the collaboration will be the implementation of A² Trade Promotion across different brands and chains during 2023.

There were two main reasons for changing our former trade promotion solution to Analyse². First, A² Trade Promotion has all the right functionalities needed to optimize promotion profitability. Second, the Analyse² project team was genuinely listening to our needs and were looking for ways to improve their solution to better meet our needs.
